I periodically buy from Etsy. I've gotten multiple postcards from sellers inside the box of the item I bought or at a later date

It's a Thank You post card with, "Drop me a line (with their email address) if you want to know when I have special customer sales at (their off-Etsy website)

I'll gladly send them my email address ESPECIALLY after all the fees I hear Etsy charges selling or their ABRUPT suspension of a seller's account

If the seller is someone I bought from that I REALLY liked you can count on my wanting to know what happened to them if they've been banned or suspended on Etsy

I also encourage them to get a Pinterest Business account (Free) and start promoting their products on their linking it to their personal website

No, I'm not an Etsy seller. I'm a customer that empathizes with Etsy Sellers who keep getting suspended, having fees raised, etc.

Unhappy Etsy sellers could also gather together, get funding and open a similar website if they wanted to vs constantly complaining to the changes they keep making
